The word "mamre" (mam' ree) is an ancient Semitic name and means: "strength or fatness" (Strong's Concordance #h4471). According to Harper Collins' Bible Dictionary, it's where Abraham built a shrine and where God told Abraham and Sarah that they would have a son (Gen 18:1-15).
Mamre Christian Bible College (MCBC), is a nondenominational faith-based College, located in the Central Valley. We are committed to accomplishing a great task: preaching the Good News, teaching the Word of God, and disciplining the body of Christ. Our dedication to glorifying our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, is demonstrated by faithfully teaching the truth of His Word and equipping men and women to love and serve God and others.
The curriculum is based on the foundation that God's Word is Spirit-inspired. Teachings are biblically based and provide students with the faith to walk in the given power of God's love, by the Holy Spirit, to reach the lost, heal the sick, and declare the captives free. God has chosen to reveal Himself to the world through the Living Word (Jesus Christ) and the written Word (the Bible). The Bible reveals God's character and His purpose for the Body of Christ. Therefore, the Bible is central to everything we do. Students study Bible doctrine and Theology in light of God's Truths. This allows the students to minister the Word that is within them! We are dedicated to bringing glory to Jesus Christ in all that we teach and do.
